Here is a link with a really, really good summary. Some folks may like "A", but Harding was not personally corrupt, nor all of his administration, but Harding did admit that his friends "keep me walking the floors nights." The Google Books link gives the biggest part of a text by Joe Mitchell Chapple, Warren G. Harding--The Man. Whatever your opinion of his administration, don't let it color your concept of the man.

In light of Danny's comment, I read the piece in the Cincinnati Enquirer that said he had a "brief illness". The Free Republic site has the text of the New York Times article--it says that Mrs. Harding was reading the paper to him when he had the stroke that killed him. I found a piece that summarized some of the "strange death" stories--it is conspiracy stuff, the kind of thing that says Castro had Kennedy killed. I don't buy it.

A -- the most corrupt. Harding appointed all his poker buddies to his cabinet. Then they did naughty stuff. And he died while banging a movie star. Now THAT'S history!
