I heard that someone died filming the Titanic. I wanted to know how and if this was even true. Was it a rumor all along?

It was a rumor. Titanic had much, much computer technology for the part of the sinking. In the movie there was no real death but the characters. in real life tons and tons of people died.

No one died during the making of titanic, that was just a rumor but this did happen:
On the final night of shooting in Nova Scotia, one or more pranksters mixed PCP (angel dust) into the clam chowder served to the cast and crew. 80 people were taken ill, many hospitalized with hallucinations. Bill Paxton felt listless for two weeks after the incident.

Jack was a third class passenger. There were 702 3rd class passengers on the Titanic. 528 of those 702 people died. That is 75%. It would have been unrealistic for him to survive. Also, the fact that he did die makes it so much more emotional.

do you mean some of the actors that were playing in the movie? Then no. I think that the older lady in the movie died some time later after the movie had been made. Ok.

While filming the movie Titanic,
the man who used tu on/off the switch of the industry, tu operate the small machine...that they use tu make the 36th nos screw....of the sterring wheel that pull up the rope with which the main ship was connected......fell down from his legs while sleepwalking at midnight and died for his first time in life......and so.......blah blah blah.......
