I have a problem here, my broadband is disconected, it doesn't really make a difference on my computer since I have Optimum Online, Cable Modem. But what I read is that I need to connect my broadband so I can use Nintendo Wi-Fi USB. So my question is would it affect my internet?

I dont think you know exactly what you are saying.

If you have a cable modem then you have broadband internet. What you need to do is install a wireless router to your cable modem so you can share your broadband internet between your computers and your nintendo.

Yeah, what the guy above said or you can buy a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB adapter and go on line through your computer. But your computer always has to be on line for the adapter to work.
