Seriously! Why would you spend money on that crap when you can buy the real thing with people that can ACTUALLY SING (for the most part) then waste in on these little kids who are obviously tone-deaf. I mean, couldn't they find some kids who can at least sing it in tune??? They even change some of the songs because a few of the songs I hear part of on those commercials are songs 5 and 10 year olds should not be singing...at least they haven't discovered Zeppelin yet...

It's because parents just can't stand little Johnny or Susie hearing a bad word or learning about sex and drugs. Personally, I whole heartedly agree with you. I'm not coming after them with a pitchfork and torch until they butcher classic rock, though. It would be slightly amusing... watch them try to clean up these!
You Shook Me all Night Long
Young Lust
Hell's Bells
Cherry Pie (not really classic... nonetheless fun)
Big Balls
Tush
Mmm... I can't think of any more right now.

They're trying to water down songs that are inappropriate for children to listen to, to market them toward that age group.
It's very corporate, but a song being on there doesn't change the value of the original song.

One word...Money. The Record labels take the most popular songs on the top 40 list, and change them to this trash, just to make more money off the songs than they would with only original recordings.

It's for kids, silly. I don't listen to Kids Bop, if I can avoid it. I listen to my music. But my little nephews love their music, if you can call it that. And one is learning to play drums and guitar because of Kids Bop, which is a good thing. He will out grow their music one day, but it's okay for now. Just don't listen to it. I don't.

I got the third one for Easter when I was little. That was my first CD because I was the youngest and my family wasn't really into music back then so I didn't listen to it. Recently I listened to it and IT WAS TERRIBLE! UGH I HATED IT! I threw it into my closet and havent seen it since.

I totally agree. I don't like the CD's at all. My little brother's only 5 yrs old and he thinks they are for "younger kids".

My mom bought one of those pieces of cr ap for my son and I hate it! It's awful. Even my son doesn't ask me to play it for him! I don't even think it's kids singing...the voices are too high pitched and 'perfect.' I think it's a voice synthesizer or something making an adult's voice sound childish. Ick! Sickening.
