"Sincerely" is written by Harvey Fuqua and Alan Freed and published in 1954.
Originally recorded by The Moonglows, the biggest-selling version was a cover version recorded by The McGuire Sisters, entering the charts in 1954 and reaching #1 the next year. Although many Rhythm & Blues collectors decry the cover version by the McGuire Sisters, which kept the Moonglows off the Pop charts, most overlook that the Moonglows' version stole lyrics from a 1951 Dominoes tune, "That's What You're Doing To Me." The bridge in both songs is almost identical: "Lord, won't you tell me/ Why I love that woman so?/ She doesn't want me/ But I'll never let her go."

I think it's by the McGuire Sisters. It's been done a bunch of times, but that's the most famous version, as far as I know.
Here's a link to a site that has one of their discs, and you can listen to a snippet to see if it's the right one:

Hope that helps. I think it's a great song.

Does this look like the lyrics:
(Harvey Fuqua and Alan Freed)
Sincerely, oh yes, sincerely
'Cause I love you so dearly
Please say you'll be mine
Sincerely, oh you know how I love you
I'll do anything for you
Please say you'll be mine
Oh Lord, won't you tell me why
I love that fella so
He doesn't want me
But I'll never, never, never, never let him go
Sincerely, oh you know how I love you
I'll do anything for you
Please say you'll be mine
Oh Lord, won't you tell me why
I love that fella so
He doesn't want me
But I'll never, never, never, never let him go
Sincerely, oh you know how I love you
I'll do anything for you
Please say you'll be mine
Please say you'll be mine
***If those are the lyrics then it is sung by "The McGuire Sisters". The album is called: 'The Anthology' OR 'The McGuire Sisters.' I think the song is in both...I know this is a oldies song be cause the website was: www.oldielyrics.com***
Hope they enjoy their surprise!
