Go to a swap meet. There are always many chrome and stainless repair vendors there. No swap meets locally, get a Hemmings Motor News at a bookstore and scan the ads. There you will find a lot of vendors to do restoring for nearly every part of your car.

As you probably already know, stainless is really hard with which to work. There are lots of people who specialize in refinishing stainless steel; check Hemming Motor News for some sources.

You could also check with a professional metal worker named Ron Covell (I havent got his website handy, but if you Google his name, I'm sure you can find it). He prints a column in Street Rodder Magazine (a Primemedia publication) called "Ask Professor Hammer". I know a few months ago, he did an answer to your question, but I haven't got the magazine any longer. You could also check Streetrodder.com and check their back issues department.

I agree with the other posters, there are tons of contacts in hemmings. Now not knowing what kind of car you have kinda limits my response, but if the production numbers are relativly high, then it would probably be cheaper to just replace them. I mean, if you have a siata 208, youre not going to find parts very easily, but if you have something like an old buick, your chances of finding replacements would be quite high.
The best place to look for them, would be in a owners specific club/group. you would just have to google,' ____ owners groups'.
