Hi, I married in 1983 2 years after having surgery for ovarian cysts.I didn't understand at the time being 17 but I had endometriosis. about a year after I married I fell pregnant but miscarried, and it was found I had extensive endometriosis. I was referred to a fertility clinic during this tiem and had some cauterising of the endo. I went to a fertility specialist and went on a hormone I cannot rmember the name of now.I think I was on htat about 1 year.I fell pregnant the first monthoff it,then spent the next 5 years pregnant it seemed like LOL
I can laugh about it now, but at the time I was so miserable.my whole life revolved around ovulating and my due date. also that period between, ovualating and period,I might be pregnant,so wouldn't do anything strenuaous etc and if I was a day late or my period was lighter I got my hopes up big time, only to be miserable a day later. It's an awful time, when everyone else around you seems to be pregnant. But hang on in there, do what yur doctors tell you you need to do and relax. It will happen eventually. It was 4 years for me.I have 3 out of 6.

For a couple with no fertility problems and the woman is under 30 years old, a doctor won't even perform any diagnostic tests until you have been trying for a year. The average is 6 months. That being said, if you have endo, fibroids, and cysts get yourself to a fertility specialist ASAP. My husband and I have unexplained infertility (just means that they still don't know enough about reproduction to figure out why we cant do it ourselves) and finally got pregnant after a couple of years of fertility treatments. In vitro is what worked for us. We saw a reproductive endocrinologist (RE) which is the type of doc I recommend you see because of the endo. You will get seen by an RE now without having to wait until a year is up because of your health issues. Don't waste precious time thinking you might be able to do this on your own without getting checked out first. Good luck!

I don't know how your health problems will effect you, but I didn't have any health problems and it took me about 2 years to conceive. not that i am saying it will take you that long! most couples conceive within the first year of trying. talk to your doctor for any tips or suggestions, and find out how your endometriosis and fibroids can affect conception. good luck!

Its all about timing and I dont think three months is anything to worry about. just measure your periods, you ovulate exactly 14 days before youre next period. Do the math and try everyday for that week around it, maybe even twice a day. at least your husband would have some fun and you'd know you tried everything!

My first pregnancy took 3 cycles.
My second pregnancy took just 1 cycle, but ended unfortunately in miscarriage.
My third pregnancy took 12 cycles after my miscarriage.

Two years for me. I have PCOS. Take your time and don't stress on it. Your baby will want to come into a stressfree uterus not one that is clenched up with stress.

Best of luck
