Are you against the Iraqi War? Why or Why not?

For.

It is true that there are a great many casualties resulting from it. One casualty is too many. I don't think any American is insane to the point of actually wanting casualties. It would've been best to talk the whole thing out over some coffee or something. The fact of the matter is that we (the US) had been negotiating with Saddam for over a decade. He kept delevoping more weapons and throwing U.N. inspectors out of his country. It was a regular story on the news for years to the point where it stopped surprizing me, "O look, he's thrown them out again; I give it two weeks til the inspectors are back again...." Saddam didn't want to talk; he wanted another reprieve from facing the rest of the world (the UN). War, to destroy, is the opposit of economy, to create. War is a double negative for everyone .... If there was any way out of going to war with Iraq, then why didn't anyone figure it out over the course of a decade? No one asks the above question anymore....

As for the Weapons of Mass Distruction thing:

We may not have found any, but the world knew he had them at one point. Given that Weapons of Mass Distruction don't just disappear, we're left with three logical oucomes:

1.) He used them all (on his own people?)
2.) He has them hidden somewhere we haven't looked
3.) They're still out there with someone else.

I don't know about anyone else out there... but #4... none of the above.... sounds like the only good choice to me....

Terror:

Is there any direct paper trail linking him to the big O? If there is we haven't found it. In spite of that, there's some nice photographic evidence of training camps existing in iraqi territory.
The above does qualify as "aid and comfort to an enemy...." This is not a good thing.....

Better idea?:

My opinion, we don't understand the climate.
We talked to the wrong people.

We should've been talking with these guys:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayatollahs

If we tried to reach an agreement with the Ayatollahs instead of dictators, then things could have gone much differently. Many muslims are peaceloving people who put great stock in what a given Ayatollah has to say. If we could prove that we the United States wasn't/isn't a "threat to islam" to a large enough group of Ayatollahs, then it might seriously damage what little credibility radical extremist have when they say the opposite. Take away credibility.... hummm... see where I'm going here?

That's just my 2 cents....

Yes! But not against supporting our Troops. I believe the war was started because the former leader of our Country were unable to get to Saddam, therefore the younger of the two decided he would be the one to take Saddam down. I think any WMD's were all used on his own people or perhaps moved to another country. Another major storm is brewing with Iran, watch this one very close. We are being set-up as we were before we entered Iraq. Iran has always been a enemy of Iraq, so why would they be in Iraq fighting. This is another excuse to enter Iran with false info. as a legitimate reason to bring war against Iran. Don't buy into this!
