I am a male. I am 30 years old. I dont consider myself feminine either. I just have never figured out why everybody is so CRAZY about sports. I hear people talking about it all the time . I would like to know what it is. I must be really missing out on something. I just think it is extremely boring and always have.

Too much baseball, basketball and soccer for you. Football is the only thing to watch—a cross between chess and ballet.

I feel that way too, but I'm a woman so I'm off the hook. You don't have to like sports just because you're a guy. Everyone's different. I think although most guys don't exactly have to fake liking sports, for them it's partly a male bonding thing, like they have to have a common manly sort of interest to hang out together without any question of gayness. I mean that's silly but I think it's how the male mind works. It doesn't have to be sports though, it could be like binary systems if your friends are nerdy, or whatever.

It's what they grew up with and their fathers grew up with as well.
It's competitive, social, and fun.
Personally, I've always held the view that sports on TV and all the companion sport TV shows creates a huge SOAP OPERA that men can voluntarily admit to loving. Who trading who, who's been kicked off the team, who gonna win that trophy, what teams hates some other team from decades past and will tonights match end up brutal, and so on and so on. Added to that everyone can have an opinion and "gossip" on whats happening over the watercooler, beer at the pub, or on your BFF couch during the game.

I haven't watched a single sporting event since the last time Denver won the Super Bowl...and that was only because my son wanted to watch it.
I played sports in high school and college. I prefer to go out and do something active rather than sit on my butt watch others playing sports.

My husband doesn't watch sports either (thank God.) and he's as manly as they come! Sometimes he'll pull up a boxing match which of all the sports drives me crazy, but sometimes I wonder if it's just to mess with me :)
You're not required to like/dislike anything. Just be yourself.

Lot's of guys like sports because they use to the play them in High School..
I enjoy football, and baseball the most, (cause I played them)
Its just something to get into and read about.
Not all guys get into it, it just has to be something you like, if not, oh well nothing wrong with it.
Its fun to go to games with your guy friends, tailgate, and drink beer and cheer on your team
