My hubby and I are thinking about going to Key West for a few days. What would be a good place to stay, close to the beach and nightlife? And not to expensive. ;-)

I live in KW and it doesn't really matter where you stay, the island is 4x2 miles - so you are going to be close to Duval no matter where you go. A cab ride to anywhere is not expensive and you can rent scooter or bikes to see the island during the day.
Search the internet for a hotel that suites your budget and quality standards and you are bound to have a great time. Good luck!

one time we stayed at what then was the marriot casa marina resort,right on the beach not to far from the southern most point and the last time we were at a best western just up the road from the airport,great place,nice rooms

Blue Heaven is the place that my family stayed at. Great sunset and an unbelievable breakfast.
