"Desperate Housewives" is a good show (and better this season than last) but not even in the same league as "Sex and the City." I can watch episodes over and over and still cry, laugh, and just overall love it!

As much as I like Desperate Housewives, I have to go with Sex and the City. Over the years I got a lot of helpful tips off that show...

It's interesting that you make that comparison. Given the ages of the women on Sex and the City, it is likely that the women in Desperate Housewives could have nearly been the older versions of the women from Sex and the City. It's almost like a before and after of women who are friends together. I think that Sex and the City was fairly repetitive. Don't get me wrong. The show was well received and won awards, but it did hover itself mostly around the same topics, spun in different ways of course, for a very long time. However, I think that Desperate Housewives tends to give new material of different natures to keep the audience interested and engaged into the scenes and characters. So, I would probably have to say Desperate Housewives because of it's ability to sustain the audience's attention.

Sex and the City!! Much funnier and easy to relate to. Plus the fashion and the shoes!!!
Deserate Housewives is fun, but no match.
