On the last two landings of the space shuttle it has had brown markings on it. What are these markings ?

It is not unusual for the shuttle to have burn marks on it after a mission. Going into space and back puts a lot of wear and tear on a vehicle.

The shuttle always has marks like that--remember the skin of the suttle reaches several thousand degrees on reentry.

If you were the shuttle that flew the first two missions after your sister craft burned up on the way in, wouldnt you have brown stains also? :)
