My husband and I were where you are now....note I said My husband. We are still together and everything stopped as soon as we asked for it to. Good luck!

It's possible to stop it no matter how far it's gone if you haven't gone to court for it to be finalized. You will lose any money you have paid to the lawyers though. This is a good reason to make very sure you've done everything you can before going to a lawyer and filing. Good luck!

Of course you can stop it! Either both of you do nothing and eventually the court will send out a letter asking you to file something or else the case will be dismissed. There is usually a dismissal date given to you when you file so check your paperwork. Otherwise the person who filed the divorce can file to dismiss the case and as long as there is no objection from the other side it will be dismissed.

You actually have 30 days after it is suppose to be final to stop. Just remember it cost alot more attorney fees to fight. If you both agree to stop then you just loose the money you have already spent. My friend's divorce was just final and this is what her lawyer told her.

It is not final until one or both of you goes before a judge, and the judge makes it final. It's not too late even if the papers are signed or even filed. If your divorce has not been granted, it is not too late to reconcile, if that's what both of you want.

You can stop it but if you do you still have to pay the lawyers.Maybe it would be best to go ahead with the divorce and then if both of you are still communicating try to work it out. This way if it doesn't work then you don't have to go through all the mess again.

I really do not know.. Talk to your lawyer and find out what your options are... You may be able to retract it but i am not sure. I wish you the best and hope you can get this done and work on and try to save your marriage.

you sure can stop this action. In the morning call your spouse and let him her know and then let the lawyers know to stop and there it is as it should be.
