My first prenatal exam is not scheduled until March 1st. I'm already about 7 weeks along from my best calculations. Do you think that this it too long to wait before seeing a doctor? Should I try making an appointment somewhere else?

The only reason you would need to see a doctor earlier is to get a prescription for prenatal vitamins if youre not already taking them. Other than that if you have had a recent pap and are sure youre in good health physically and sexually (no stds or other problems) then you should be fine to wait. Especially if you are prefering this doctor over others.

No,most places wait up until 10-12 weeks for your first appt..this way they can do the tests, ultrasound etc all in the same time...I wouldnt worry about it..My first appoinment is on tuesday and im going to be 13 weeks and 2 days when going in there..u never know, this doctor could be the best doctor u will ever see and woudlnt even be able to meet them before choosing another doctor, give them a chance..good luck!

They usually do it at 12 weeks. I just made an appointment with my doctor and went before then, but as long as you have no bleeding or severe cramping I think you'd be fine. Good luck :) and congrats

Thats not too bad. I was 12, almost 13 weeks at my first appointment.

Nothing wrong with that. There's nothing to really do except run tests that really don't help things. Find a midwife. They're much nicer.

No, most doctors won't see you before then unless it is an emergency. This is very common.

I would. That will put you close to your second trimester. You will want to be seen sooner than that.
