There's no scientific evidence of any negative effects from cracking your fingers.

Arthritis is an old wives tale.

I crack my knuckles at least 5 times an hour, and my knees, ankles, and toes almost as frequently. I've been doing this for almost 20 years, no deformities to report yet!

yeah, i also heard you can get arthritis from cracking your fingers. i heard that your fingers become bigger after a long duration of cracking and on your wedding day, it won't look pretty when you try to slip on the ring.

They use to say that even though it is annoying it was harmless, now they are saying that doing this activity will greatly increase your chances of getting arthritis in your hands.
PS you do not want this if you can help it.
