The tub doesn't move, neither does the timer, any ideas?

Most likely your lid switch is bad. A timer rarely will go bad to cause the machine to not agitate and spin at the same time. I believe you probably realize it is not the belt unless the motor is running but if the timer is not advancing that indicates that the motor most likely is not running. The only other possibility would be if you lost power to the machine. A tripped circuit breaker or GFCI receptacle would need to be reset. Try plugging something that you know works into the washer's receptacle to check for power or TEMPORARILY plug the machine into another receptacle that you know works.

It is probably the timer, try turning the timer manually and see if the washer starts to work. If it does you may have a bad contact in the timer and would need to replace the timer.

There is a plastic bushing that the motor shaft runs through causing the motor to spin the tub. It is a wearable item, and the rounded hole becomes elongated, not allowing the shaft to turn. It is a very common item to be replaced, the part is anywhere from $10-$15, if you are not mechanically inclined, it can cost around $150 to change. It is a very easy job to do

All i know is that mine did that once and my husband took it apart only to find that a tiny little glove ( one of the kids gloves) had somehow gotten out of the area were the clothing is supposed to be and gotten into the motor.
