When a disk is write-protected, it means that the data on the disk cannot be changed in any way. There is usually a physical switch on the side of the jump-drive that needs to be toggled so that you can change the data, like deleting files.

Probably because you have it open on your computer... save as a different file name on your hard drive first. If not, it my be stuck in recovery... Close all applications on your computer first then try to delete it again. Next, right click on the file and select uncheck all the attributes... that should allow you to delete it.

you have the write protection turned on your flash drive. On one side or another look for a little slide thing. Slide it the other way and you can delete.

you have to save the document to your computer, select save as and name the file the same name but with an added number or letter. such as (filename)1 and then you should be able to edit it while it's on your drive. then save it back to the jump drive

The file is probably in use or write-protected. Make sure the file is not in use and try again. If this doesn't well... so sorry for you.
