I have a daughter who is 16 and she is more with the cheerleaders and athletes which makes sense because she is a cheerleader and an athlete.
My other daughter is 14 and she is more with the rockers, or the "freaks" which I find fine because they are nice kids, well the ones she hangs out with.
A party is coming up at my house and I am worried what should I do if their is a conflict between the two groups. At school, the two clicks have issues what should I do if there are problems at my house or should I just let them pick friends that they both are friends with.

I would throw two separate partys!

Throw one party, and use this as an opporunity to allow the kids to get to know each other. I think you will all be pleasantly surprised (as will they) how much fun they can all have together.

I remember going to events and retreats in high school and becoming friends with some of the most unexpected people.

Of course, this requires adult supervision and candid talks with your daughters, as well as laying some ground rules. No name calling, no nasty remarks, no making fun of others, etc. Let them know that this is their chance (and their friends' chances) to show they are mature, reasonable people who can enjoy parties.

And whatever you do, do NOT got into this expecting problems or assuming the worst. Give them a chance!

Let them pick which friends they like, but make it VERY clear - so they can make it very clear to those friends - that if ANY conflict starts, you with throw those who started it out, as well as anyone else who trys to continue the crap. And once out, they won't be coming back in.

Your daughters are likely smart girls - they'll choose people who won't conflict - but don't be suprised to find that the party splits into two parties.

But, you may get lucky - sometimes, they overlook their differences and get along for this one event - they find they have a lot more in common than they thought.

One party, two areas. Give the freaks the basement/family room and the cheerleaders the living room. They will naturally seperate, BUT this way each of your daughters has choice in the setup, etc.

Choice #2 is two parties. When the cheerleader is having her party, the other daughters can sleepover at a friends house

Last thing you want is a girl rumble!!!!!!!

These two people are around my age (14). Usually, kids at that age don't really care about clicks anymore.

Stop being so overprotective and let the kids meet new people.
