When i move the monitor around sometimes it will flicker back to bright, then out of no where it will go back to darker.

If the computer switches from bright to less bright when the mains power/charger is disconnected then that is a normal power saving feature.
If the mains are still plugged in when you do this, you could have a loose connection in the charger or in the cable that connects the screen to the laptops motherboard, or a loose connection in in the monitor itself. If the monitor is really dark that you can see almost nothing there might be a problem with the screens back light.
If it really bothers you contact a reliable PC technician.

You have one of two problems: Either your video card is bad, or, more likely, the monitor cable is bad. Sometimes the ribbon that connects the screen to the laptop base can come loose or get pinched. You'll need a professional to look at it. It's really easy to take a laptop apart, but very hard to get it back together.
