okay martina mcbride's song, God's Will. I understand the story, but there is one verse that i have trouble understanding. here it is:
Before they moved to California
His mother said, they didn't think he'd live
And she said each day that I have him, well it's just
another gift
And I never got to tell her, that the boy
Showed me the truth
In crayon red, on notebook paper, he'd written
Me and God love you
so what does she mean by, "And i never got to tell her, that the boy showed me the truth." ?

The boy, Will, terminally ill, showed her that love given is love returned, and that Will loved her for her generosity as God does. It was a message that she never had the chance to convey to Will's mother, because she didn't understand it until after will was gone.

If you watch the music video, it shows all the parts of the story. I would tell you what it means but i don't remember. Been a while since i've the song.
