Let me make it clear first that I am a Bears fan and expect them to win. However I have heard many convincing arguments lately that make me question my judgment. Here are a few of the points that I have heard.
1) Rex Grossman-plain and simple this guy can lose you a game, he has been very inconsistent and is just having trouble
2) The Bears offensive line really needs to step it up, I think Grossman is blind out of his left eye(not really) because he can't see a defensive end coming in for the sack
3)Colts defense has been hot lately, these guys have really improved their rune defense to a point that it really makes you wonder if Benson Jones can do anything
4) Peyton Manning, enough said
5) Marvin Harrison, enough said
6) The Colts receivers, this is an amazing combo of receivers that has raw talent and skill
7) The Bears secondary, all though good, they are nothing compared to the Colts receivers, they need to have their best game
8) Bears defense, in the beginning they were unstoppable, but now they are missing a few key players that could effect the outcome of this game, even though they stopped the Saints, they are going to have a much more difficult time with the Colts

These are my answers, don't yell at me I want the Bears to win just as much as you,but this is just the reasons I have heard they will lose.

Thank you.

There are probably only 3 or 4 guys in Superbowl history who are worse than Grossman.
Bears had a cushy season, which padded their recorded and inflated their sense of achievement.
They barely got by the playoff teams, exposing many vulnerabilities...they are not even CLOSE to the complete package.
Everyone knows they will blitz Manning, which is how you beat the Colts, but if you don't get to him, he'll tear your secondary apart...which is what he's gonna do to the Bears secondary.
Alternatively, Grossman can't handle any pressure. He's gonna crumble under the Colts defensive onslaught.
Colts offense is remarkable....I don't think a lot of people realize just how good those guys really are.
Bottom line: Bears are out of their league.
The Colts have already beaten their toughest opponent when they put away New England.

My husband explained this to me last night, believe it or not, and he's a huge Bear Fan, but he said that the QB for the Bears stinks, but the Bears have an outstanding team.
The Bears nearly lost to the AZ Cardinals, until the last few minutes of the final quarter when the Cards choked.

My husband said that the Colts have a good QB and all around good team, so he thinks that the Colts will win, even though he will be rooting for the Bears.

As for me...I will root for the Colts to be contrary, as I really do not care who wins!

I do hope it's a close and exciting game though!

I think they pick the Colts because the media wants to see Peyton win, but also the Colts have played in more playoff games than this Bears team. I hope it's a close good game. I think it can go either way.

The Bears are far from the 'Perfect Package' because they don't have a consistent offense. In the same way the Colts don't have a consistent defense, but the Colts defense has looked much better than the Bears offense as of late.
You're right that one player doesn't make a team, but Peyton Manning comes real close to it.

I think people expect Colts to win not only because of Peyton Manning, but because the Indianapolis Colts have been in more playoffs than the Bears.

One man does not make a team. Unfortunately, two men make an offense, and three men make a great offense. Peyton has Marvin Harrison AND Reggie Wayne to hook up with, possibly one of the best recieving duos in the league. Throw in an O-Line that almost shut out the Ravens, and refused to yield to Merriman, and you have a high-powered offense that is hard for anyone to shut down.

Go Bears! If anyone can shut down Colts, its them. But it'll be hard...

Indianapolis will stand effective on the end of the day. The Colts genuinely go with payback for very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's embarrassment. although the Jags received't only roll over for the Colts. they're going to make it an thrilling recreation. we are going to see if their rushing recreation provides the Colts run protection as a lot worry because it did very last 3 hundred and sixty 5 days.

There's one word in your statement that stands out above all the rest. It's the word "IF" you used to describe the Bears chances IF Grossman plays well. You shouldn't have to worry, he'll gag this one and the Colts will win a close one because of the Bears ground game keeping it close. 27-26 Colts.

you answered your own question. IF Rex has a good game. He will be in the Superbowl for the first time. He is a decent quarterback when he plays at his best. although the Colts haven't been to the Superbowl they have been AFC title games vs the evil Patriots. They sure as heck aren't going to lie down for the bears. GO COLTS!
