Never thanks to your president George Bush

My best assessment is the USA will use B61-11 nuclear bunker busters to take out Iran's nuke assets. This weapon has been in the US inventory for years but has never been tested due to the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty. The closest the USA could come to testing it would be with a test such as DEVINE STRAKE, which is planned for this year. Since worst case projections puts Iran at getting a nuke in 2009, and Bush leaves office in January of that year, I would expect the USA would take out Iran's nuke assets sometime after the November election in 2008, but before Bush leaves office on Jan 20,2009.

So Mid November 08 to Mid Jan 09. A 60 day window. How is that for a prediction?

How do you know the USA will attack Iran? Maybe Iran will attack the USA first!
If Iran attacks another country, it is possible that the UN or the US or the UK or the UAE or somebody will attack in return.

I believe we will attack Iran when the country either 1) Gets in our way of acheiving our primary goals and/or 2) Threatens the U.S. in anyway. And I forget the name of the person who said it, but we could to attack Iran. For God's sake we are the most powerful country in the world. If we got into a war with Iran, we would tear them apart. Hello, a first world country that has other first world countries having our backs (ex. Great Britain) vs. a 3rd world country. You have to realize, if it came down to self-defense and protecting our country, we would drop a bomb on Iran before they can even make a move.

as we know, military action against iran is still on the table as an option. therefore it is only possible for an attack if iran persistently doesnt comply with the other world powers. what other options would they hav if all other sanctions or option fails since it seems likely that iran will never yield. besides, i'm not saying it's good to attack but we dont want other countries producing nuclear weapons to defend themselves later in the future

Its a question of when will iran attack the united states. Right now we are detaining all iranians and killing them as they enter the Iraq border, way to piss them off bush!!
It will lead to a one on one war with iran, and Iran has the capabliites of sending the united states a few presents via ballistic missle style.
And Bush has been ignoring too much trying to get revenge against the hussain people and well wagged the dog so to speak to the point congress won't let him piss without their permission and well thanks America for voting liberal style.. cause now we are so screwed!

we will attack iran only after we are attacked... on our soil

The reason Bush is harping on using IRAN in his speeches is to deflect his "blunder" in IRAQ. He thinks the American public is so dumb with his patriotic rhetoric as if he is the only one that has patriotism in his side. Even in international politics, LYING does not pay. It will bite you in the a.. later. And it sure bit BUSH big time.

This country, great as it is, will fall if we continually become so ARROGANT that we think because we have the might, then we are right. As it is, our military is spread too thin overseas to even defend an attack right here in the States.

It is stupid to attack IRAN right now. In fact, if BUSH declares it, we should all IMPEACH him!!!

you are presuming you know the answer. then -- it is futile to ask the question. my and so many others' answer is "a. we do not know what Iran will do in the future b. we do not know how USA will react to what Iran will and will not do. c.if you add up answer a plus b -- you will conclude -- we simply do not know and can not predict the future. Mankind and so is the actual President of Iran --is on this planet only for a limited number of years -- politics changes from day to day. Thus, up to you to conclude that your question is impossible to answer. I rest my case, hopefully you will change your stand.

Hopefully never. A war with Iran, while totally winable (at least militarily) would be a disaster for the U.S. and it's allies. Let's hope it never happens. But there has been a lot of sabre rattling, and it looks like it could happen in th enext year or so.

You feeble-minded-violence-advocate. Why do you look forward to another war. The wars in the world cause enough suffering already. Wouldn't it be better if all the money for the war is channeled into something more useful like science research and nature conservation?
