where are u getting your history from? the French and Indian war did not open up westward expansion all. In fact after the war the crown said that the colonies couldn't move west pass the Appalachian mountains. the stamp act was not a modest tax it ranged from a penny to a shilling. which may not sound like much today but in those days it was allot of money on any thing paper. this along with the The Navigation Act which said that the colonist could only buy goods from england. and not make their own and then pay over double the price. then u put a tax on top of that that is enough to send any body over the edge .

I'll give you a hint - I don't think the French ever won a war although they invaded other countries.
However - there is no country - Canadian Indian, or American Indian Country. - hint hint.

The French and Indian War was the nine-year North American chapter of the Seven Years War. The conflict resulted in the British acquiring Canada, while Spain gained Louisiana in compensation for its loss of Florida to the British. French administrative presence in North America was almost completely removed and the Aboriginal people of North America were decimated, pacified, or moved farther west.

England. Thus it opened and allowed settlers to move west. England had a large war debt due to the Seven Years War. To help pay for it a modest tax was imposed in the colonies. It is know as the Stamp Act.

even though it was 15 years before the Revolution you could argue that ( what was to become) the United States was the long term winner...as was mentioned, the French were kicked out of Canada, the Indian resistance in New England and Pennsylvania .......which had been 100 years of fierce fighting.......was broken, and the American militia gained invaluable experience in how to fight,( a Colonel of Virginia Militia named George Washington lead the retreat from Pittsburgh when the British Army got beat by the French there) and the British Americans began to realize they didn't need the Mother Country to protect them any more.......run this by your class and see what happens......
