We were trying to get pregnant four years ago, and we did, but it was ectopic and we lost it. we haven't tryed since, a few months later i got on depo-provera, i was on it for two years. That stopped in november of 2005. we have been using the pullout method so as to not get pregnant, but i mean, can't the precum get u pregnant also? just wondering if maybe i am now infertile. Tahnk you for your opinions.

Myhusband and I always used the pull out method and I never got pregnant until we actually tried to get pregnant. I had my first son and then relied on the pull out method for a couple of years and then decided we wanted a baby again and it happened. Yeah precum can get you pregnant also , but just because it doesnt , doesnt mean your infertile. When actually trying it can take some couples 6 months or more to get pregnant.

Just because you had an ectopic pregnancy does not mean you could be infertile... unless it blew out one of your fallopian tubes than you should be ok. as for the shot I've heard there are a lot of problems with it and for some people it is harder to get pregnant after the shot. As for precum yes it is possible and some people do get pregnant off of it, but the fluids you have down there are slightly acidic and are known for killing precum. Hope that helps. If you are trying to get pregnant you should see your doctor and he or she should offer you some good information as when your peak days of fertility are and all of that.

I wouldn't worry to much about infertility. If you decied to have a baby and it dosen't work in about 6-12 months then worry. I was on depo for a long time and went on to have 2 more babies after it. I know the pull out method isn't fool proof but my husband and I did it instead of birth control for 3 years after my third son was born and I never got pregnant until we actually started trying (not pulling out). Don't sweat it if you have been pregnant in the past even if it didn't work out as planed chances are you will probably be able to get pregnant again.

Good Luck!!

Everyone is different, for some the pull-out method works, for me i cant even use a condom without getting pregnant. I was also on the shot until two months ago and we used a condom and guess what, pregnant again. they say it should only take up to a year to get pregnant after getting off the shot. I think the true test would be to not pull out around 2 weeks after your period starts and then see what happens, if you want a baby anyway. if you got pregnant once, its definitely possible to do it again and hopefully everything will be healthier this time around.

Yeh the precum usually has more sperm that the ejaculation itself. The pull out method isnt the most reliable form of birth control because the man has to be willing to pull out before its too late. I wouldnt jump to the conclusion that you are infertile but if you are really worried about it see a doctor.

You should go to the doctor to find out about fertility, but some men do not release pre-*** (you can tell if he releases any during oral sex). If he never cums inside you and doesn't have pre-***, then your chances of getting pregnant are slim. If you are trying to have a baby, you should both get checked out if after 6 months of trying w/out success.
