No, We need to Focus on more Iraqi troops, Not American. My friend who is a marine is headed on his 4th tour in Iraq now b/c Bush is sending more troops. He was supposed to be getting out this year. If the troops are supposed to be there for a short time why is he going to be there for 8months plus?...I'm really sick of this president.

Many leaders in the military community agree that more soilders need to be present to gain control. I sort of look at it like staffing my office. If I am understaffed, my people will be too busy "just getting by" than be able to train the new hires (in the Iraq case, train the Iraqi military). So, I do agree with this strategy, even though it means two of my brothers are being deployed to Iraq.
We are there to bring hope to millions of people who have never known freedom. I think of it like during Hurricane Katrina. What kind of people would we be if we just left people sitting on there roofs in New Orleans and did not send help? Just the same, we could not stand by and let the people of Iraq continue in their suffering. True, we cannot be everywhere in the world, but we have to do the best with the wealth with which God has bless us.

YES!! Be realistic, if the troops pull out now there will be mass slaughter. Does anyone remember what happen in Vietnam and Cambodia when millions were butchered in the killing fields? This is the same thing. Regardless of what anyone thinks of if we should be thee or not, if the region is not stabilized before the troop withdraw, there will be a massive wholesale slaughter of anyone not in the same sect like the world has never seen.

I don't wear stars, or for that matter even chickens, on my shirt, so I'm really not in a position to say, and I don't think much of anybody else is, either. The latest fad seems to be anti-war Chicken Littles, but that's just ignorance in action. I prefer to trust that it was a difficult decision made with input from the people who are in the best position to know, and I leave it at that.

"Too Little Too Late" ! And for a war that is as un-popular as Vietnam, We have forced G.W Bush's "Ideological out look" on the Iraqi people . Its time to bring our troops home , now we're faced with the "tactful way of getting out . It's going to coast a lot more lives and more money than we will ever really know!

As our commander and chief I think that he should set
the example and put on his military fighting uniform and
lead these 20000 troops into battle, that is the only way
I would support him sending them there, and there is no
excuse for him not to go becasue he has Cheany left
behind to take care of cleaning the White House.

He shouldn't but if he does, he should go with them or at list send his twin daughters to fight too, don't you think so, is fair no? so that way he will feel what thousands of parents go through for his stupid decisions.
