Ok, so my last period started on Jan. 11th, so I'm assuming I was ovulating around the 24th or 25th, and I had unprotected sex (I'm trying to get pregant) on the 24th, 25th, and 26th. Now, today, which is the 28th, I've had some light cramping and light bleeding. The bleeding started around 5 or 6 this evening and now it's about 8 and it's very, very light. I've been reading up on implantation bleeding for the past 2 hours or so and all I seem to read is that it can occur 10 to 14 days after ovulation. Is it possible that my spotting, only three to four days after ovulation, could be implantation bleeding? My period isn't due for another 11 days, and I have a VERY regular cycle. Here's hoping. Thanks : )

It COULD be implantation bleeding, even this early - although it's more likely to occur 7-10 days after ovulation. It very often takes the fertilized egg that long to reach the uterus and embed itself in the lining, which causes the spotting... But, if the egg was already released and on its way down when it was fertilized, I would think you could be experiencing it even this early. At least, we'll hope that's the case!

Best of luck to you!

I am in the exact same boat as you-last period on Jan 11. Had sex the 20, 21, 22...( not sure when I was ovulating, but I thought I may be)The nurse that I talked to today said it could be implantation bleeding, but it could also just be "nothing" and the only thing to do is just wait and take a HPT as early as the first day of a missed period. In our case I am making that Wed, Feb 7th. If you can wait a week! I am trying too, so hopefully it will be good news for both of us! I hope this helped.

Gosh I can see why you are cofused about the bleeding!! The only other explanantion could be that as you have had this bleeding (which is unusual for you because you are so regular) maybe you are one of the small percentages of women who do not ovulate around the mid-cycle mark....maybe you ovulate before and that could explain why bleeding occured (if it was implantation bleeding)?? Other than that i agree with what you said, all ive read about it tells me the same, that we have implantation bleeding about 10-14 days after we conceive.goodluck and I hope you get what you want x

It could be that you are ovulating late since you have light cramping. I usually ovulate on the 17th day of my cycle but this month I ovulated on day 19. How I know this is because the OPK was positive on the 18th day of my cycle and I ovulate 24 hours after the first positive.

You could have ovulated earlier this month. Implantation spotting usually occurs about a week before your period is due.

Ovulation can cause spotting, if you aren't charting your temps then an estimate of when you are suppose to ovulate is just that. Check your cervix, if it is soft and open you are probably ovulating. If it is not soft it will feel like your nose, if it is soft it will feel more like your lip. More importantly, go have sex tonight either way just in case you are ovulating.
