I give mine a visual "once-over" everytime I get in the car. It doesn't take but a second, and at the same time I check air pressure. Air pressure checks by sight is NOT a good idea, but can be reliable if you have good tires on and know where you drive and remember "the last time out" and recall what jeopardy you might have put your tires in. Also, every once in a while, I get the air gauge out and check them, and I have my own air pump at home and fill 'em as necessary. And yeah, as I get my oil changed, my mechanic looks at them, and I also remember how many miles I had on my car when I bought them and the current odometer reading. Tires are too important just to leave to luck. God Bless you.

Every three to four months. It's more important to keep them inflated to the high end of the spec. And learn to "read" wear patterns. Wear on the shoulders - more pressure. Center wear a touch less pressure. Unusual wear on one side only get it aligned and check ball joints and ti-rod ends. Rotate every 5000 miles. Check tread wear with a depth gage found at any auto parts store.

Matters on the quality of tires. You should check your tires for problems every day before you drive but to be on the safe side have them tested every 3-6 months.

every time you fill up. it gives you time to do a visual check(tread wear bars get smooth when your tires reach a certain point) as well as an air pressure check(32-35psi usually).

It depends on your driving habits the weather and how many miles you travel on them. I would also consult your owners manual if you have one and if not contact a cycle dealer or your local tire store.
