what were your experences?? im 40 weeks and really thinking about being induced but im not sure yet.....i have heard both ways but im still wondering.....im sooo over being preggo! lol (serious answers please)

I have had it both ways. I have three daughters now.If you are just now 40 weeks, it a little soon to think about being induced. Most doctors won't do it unless you are past your due date by a week or so.Also, is this your first baby? The baby may not be ready to be born yet. My second child was a week and a half past due when my labor started all by itself. With my third child, my labor started but was slow. They started me on pitosian, Almost instantly, the contractions became alot more painful. The only advantage was they gave me an epidural sooner. Being induced was more painful , and my labor wasn't any shorter. My suggestion would be to tough it out a week or so more. The doctor will decide if and when to induce. Good luck !!
