My car has 90,000 miles on it, it's running fine but since I don't know much about cars I don't know if there's anything that needs to be fixed, filled, changed, etc. Is there a place or service I can get just to check everything in my car to see if anything is wrong, what needs to be replaced, fixed, and all that. I don't want to do a full tune up if I don't even know if something really needs to be replaced.

The owners manual has a list of recommended maintenance at different intervals. There's not really much to adjust on modern cars, so what they call a tuneup is mostly replacing plugs, plug wires, belts and filters at recommended times. Removing and inspecting those things is most of the work, so it's usually best to go ahead and spend the extra few bucks to replace them while they're out. Some cars need new timing belts at that age or you risk trashing the engine when the old one breaks. Full tuneups can frequently include very expensive things that you really don't need like removing and force cleaning fuel injectors. Dealers can be some of the worst ripoffs, with a routine maintenance run costing close to a grand.
Follow the manual, or a Haynes book from the parts store. With a good radiator flush, transmission flush, plugs, wires, and all the other stuff you do at 80-100,000 miles, you're looking at some money.

Go to a National franchise, like Firestone or Meineke and get a preventive maintenance inspection. It might cost you $20-$30 but it'll be well worth it if they find something. Also, just because they say something is wrong don't just automatically have them fix it. If they find something just say "ok thanks" and take it to another shop to have it checked out. If your car is running fine, not making any "funny" noises or smoking or leaking, it should be ok. Good Luck.

Most shops will do a multi-point inspection for a decent price when you get an oil-change or whatever but if they come back with a list I would get a second opinion before handing out a bunch of cash.

Depending on what car you have you can go to the following site and order a owners manual. It will tell you when to sevice various parts of the car.

If it is running OK, don't take it somewhere and ask them to see if there is anything wrong with it! They will find something wrong and take a lot of money from you! Change your oil every 3000 or 4000 miles. Have your brakes checked. Have you fuel filter changed every 30000 miles. And keep on driving!

do you have the owners manual? if you do it should tell you what is required for the 90k service. if you do not, call the dealers service department and they can tell you what is recommended.
