The central dogma is this:
DNA --> RNA --> protein
So all the proteins in your body, from enzymes to keratin (protein of skin and hair) or structural proteins, are all programed for in your DNA through a complex code system. DNA, which for animals, is located in the nucleus of our cells, and this message is sent out to our cells to build proteins. Thus, DNA needs a messanger so to speak to communicate with the cell. THis messanger is RNA.
So, for example, the cell detects it needs more enzyme to break down the alcohol you just drank or else it will ultimatly die. Through a series of mechanisms your DNA detects this, and creats a strand of RNA which codes for this enzyme to break down alcohol. the RNA goes to the cell and their it is translated into a protein, the enzyme, and thus you break down alcohol. Also their are some differences:
RNA has a Uricil as one of its subunits, DNA has thymine
DNA is stable, RNA is very unstable (mRNA can only last for like 10-30 minutes).
DNA pretty much only stores the information, RNA may have other functions, such as enzymatic or building proteins.
Ultimatly RNA is a very intrinsic molecule, probably more so then DNA in many ways. Both are made up of nucleic acids, and DNA of course is lacking a OH bond on its 2 position (thus Deoxy) of the ribose sugar base.

DNA is a double helix formation of three nucleotides. Adenine, Thymine, Guanine, and Cytosine are the four nucleotides that connect together to form the rungs of the DNA. Adenine bonds with Thymine and Guanine bonds with Cytosine.
RNA is a copy of the sequences of those nucleotides, in which Uracil replaces the Thymine nucleotide. RNA is only a single strand of these nucleotides, as opposed to a double strand bonded together like DNA. RNA can then form into tRNA, rRNA, mRNA, etc.

DNA stands for deoxyribose nucleic acid. RNA stands for Ribose nucleic acid. RNA is basically a copy of DNA. The cell doesn't want to give away its own DNA so it makes a copy.

Yup the respond is C. once you seem on the words the acronyms stand for it is going to become plenty extra glaring - DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, consists of the sugar deoxyribose, while RNA, or ribonucleic acid, has the sugar ribose.
