This is a question best posed to your doctor or other health care professional. We don't know your needs, or what will be the best choices for you.
There are some things that are universal though.
One of the best ways that I've found to control cravings is to give in to them, in small dosages. Allow yourself very small amounts of the junk you crave, when you crave it. If you try to cut them out completely, you may find that like millions of others, you go on a binge of junky eating after weeks of sticking to your diet. So let's say you want chocolate. You allow yourself one of the bite sized bars. If you try to deny it, then you might end up eating 6 full sized candy bars days later. Moderation is almost always the key to a successful diet.
When you talk to a professional about which diet plan is right for you, don't forget to mention what your favorite foods are. If you love pizza, but your plan doesn't include it, you are almost sure to fail. You can't completely give up everything you love. Otherwise you'll be back to binging on the "bad" foods that you've deprived yourself of for so long. Find a plan that includes pizza once a month. Then your cravings are satisfied, and you can still eat healthier.
Try to leave out all filling drinks during the day. You would be surprised at how many empty calories you drink in a 24 hour period. Soda (even diet), coffee, fruit drinks (not 100% juice), flavored waters, teas, energy drinks, and even many so-called diet drinks contain no nutritional value, but are loaded with sugar, fat, and/or calories.
When you feel hungry, eat a very small and healthy meal. Carry a healthy snack for times when you can't eat a meal. Learn to listen to your body, don't try to program it to work on a schedule. Get plenty of exercise. If you can't get to a gym, go for a walk. Run up and down the stairs at home. Jog around the block a time or two. Whatever you do, make time to do at least 15 minutes of activity every day.
It doesn't sound like much, but for many people starting slow works better than trying to jump into a whole new routine.

Get rid of the junk food in your house... you won't be so tempted to give in if it's not there. Load up on lots of fruits and veggies and proteins. I'm not sure how old you are or what your lifestyle is like... but for me, everyday I eat a bowl of (healthy) cereal in the morning, which keeps me from getting a mid-morning snack from the vending machines at work! At lunch I bring a Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones frozen dinner and a yogurt cup or applesauce or something. Then for dinner I make a turkey sandwich... or soup... or chicken breast... along with a salad with lots of greens in it. If you're feeling hungry and need a snack, try snacking on carrot sticks or cottage cheese or fruits. The key is to not make it too hard on yourself, otherwise it's way to easy to give up! Eat healthier, but don't go hungry!
Don't forget to try and add some exercise... even if it's something little... like for example, if you go to the mall, park as far away as possible which makes you walk that extra distance... take the stairs whenever possible, etc. Good luck!

What I would do is try to find healthy foods that you like. They will give you more energy so you can excersice. And when you really want to eat something that you know you probably shouldn't just have a smaller amount of it. For example: If there is a certain type of chips you always eat put them in little baggies. So all you have to do is grab a little bag of the snack and you are not tempted to eat the whole bag.

You can eat what you want as long as it is in small portions. That way you still get your junk food, but not all the calories. Also, drink lots of water and start walking or something. If you must drink soft drinks, then drink diet. They have zero calories. Also, you can buy those one hundred calorie packs at the grocery store and they make like oreos and cheese nips, stuff like that.

i feel the same!
I suggest eating crushed ice or ice cubes when you get hungry, so you're kind of eating without really eating. Chewing on gum's good too.
Make sure to buy healthy food too, and put it in a noticeable place so you'll go for the fruit instead of the cookies.
Oh, and use DDR - fun way to lose weight! (or try yoga)
(but no matter what, Don't skip meals - that only makes you gain more the next time you eat (metabolism))
