No the metal is too acidic for the plant and after a while will also rust and it's like poison to the plant. However you can use the aluminum pot for a decorative cover say... for clay pots.

Yes its fine. I have some in aluminum pots and they are just fine. If you are potting in aluminum for outside use it can get tricky becouse these pots dry out super fast. Good luck

If you are considering growing plants in aluminium pots, there will not be a problem for the plant. However, the acidity in the potting soil may be a problem for the pot. It may corrode fairly quickly.

I used to collect old coffee pots to grow spider plants in and they did beautifully. Just don't forget the drain holes and rocks in the bottom.
