Absolutely possible! I have very severe endo and have lost my right ovary and fallopian tube because of severe scarring. It was so bad that everything on the right side was adhering itself together. I am currently 18 1/2 weeks pregnant with #4

To the above - birth control does not "cure" Endometriosis - there is no absolute cure - and the disease can absolutely be a debilitating illness. Even now, it still takes an average of 9 yrs. and the span of 5 or more physicians to obtain an accurate diagnosis and treatment. That doesn't imply that doctors "know what they are doing" in terms of Endometriosis intervention these days. To the question, while Endometriosis is a leading cause of infertility, there is no reason to assume that with proper treatment - removal of all disease - a woman with Endo cannot conceive successfully. Most REs and Gyns who understand the disease recommend treatment before embarking on any IVF or ART protocols, however. See http://www.centerforendo.com for accurate and timely info on Endo in general, including fertility. Good luck to you.

I have Endo. It took me a year and a half to get pregnant the first time. The second time I had a miscarriage. Then after three years of trying I have my second. The key for me was to find out when I was ovulating. The Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor was a true blessing to help me find out when that was because my cycles are not normal. I got mine monitor from a friend who was done with it, because they are expensive. Hope it all goes well for you!

Endometriosis isn't really too scary anymore. My friend has it and just got pregnant she just had to work harder and it took about a year to get pregnant, but they couldn't put her on bc to cure it because she had an brain aneurysm.
My mother had it and they put her on bc for 3 months straight with out any periods and as soon as she went off of it she got pregnant. So don't fear, they doctors know what to do these days. Good luck!

We concieved our first son no worries with endomietriosis, our second we had to have it all cut and burnt off beforehand, but then concieved on our 2nd try. Our 3rd took 11 months, but we finally got there naturally without any help. Just keep in touch with your specialist and he will know when you need assistance through treatment, but it is VERY POSSIBLE!!! Good luck with your future family!!!
