Theodore Roethke,William Blake,William Butler Yeats,Sappho,Song Of Songs(bible),Leaves Of Grass by Walt Whitman is a good start.Taliesin the Welsh Bard

Pick up a copy of any book by Ted Kooser. He is the current poet Laurette of the United States. His poems are very easy to understand. Maya Angelou is another talented writer who writes very moving poems. Billy Collins is another former poet laurette whose poems that I really like.
