Have you ever heard of gender nonconformity? Most likely you was a child with undiadnoised gender nonconformity, then formed sexual attractions to same gender.
Latest science is saying gender nonconformity is a predisposition to homosexuality, but it is a seperate issue.
Some children may be born with a predispositions of hormonal imbalances that cause their gender nonconformity, while other children may learn characteristics that make them have gender nonconformity.
I think with your outcome, you most liklely was born with gender nonconformity. Because you often fantasize about being the opposite gender. Some children with a gender nonconformity may choose later as they grow just to be a cross dresser. You can see there is a wide range of outcomes one can construct themselves to become.
Some children with gender nonconformity will want a sex change later in life, become transgendered and live as the opposite gender, then even becone pre opt for changing their sex, this is transgendered.
Some children that have a gender nonconformity construct hetrosexuality, and become cross dressers, but did not ever construct homosexuality or construct the desire to change their sex.
I believe most of the children that have learned characteristics that make them have a gender nonconformity often grow out of their gender nonconformity, while others are the ones that become partial cross dressers, or situational cross dressers but remain hetrosexual.
A wide range people can construct oneself into, it all depends on their ideas, fantasies, upbringing, diagnoised and treatment or not.
As an untreated child with undiagnoised gender nonconformity, i believe hormonal predisposition or born in me, I too was a choild that constructed homosexuality after I was aware I wanted to be opposite gender, I also thought I am not gay because I should have been born the opposite gender. Yet I was constructing homosexuality because gender nonconformity is a seperate issue than homosexuality, and I was one gender sexually attracted to same type gender, making me predispositioning to becoming homosexual as well as having a gender nonconformity. Sounds a bit like your situatuion.

There's no question about it... you're gay. But your inherent nature makes you prefer the role of a 'female'... to be always at the receiving ends.. and that's why you go more for dressing like a girly.

You are most likely not gay, but would like to be hip and a contemporary guy who would be approved of by Ophra and "the View" so why not start acting out sexually. this way you can distinguish yourself as very current and piss off you parents at the same time. Of coarse if mom is watchin Ophra and shopping for pants suits like Hillary Clinton and is doing a 10k this weekend for global warming for the blind welders with aids fund...then you are without hope....but at least you are simple minded enough to get you this far down the road to confusion.

No, technically no. Thinking female has nothing to do with the fact the you are gay. As long as you are not attracted to guys, in my definition, you are still not gay yet.

I'd say you're a bisexual cross-dresser & I understand exactly what you're talking about. I love to dress-up as a girl & play with a guy, but I only do that when I'm dressed as a girl.
