Atlanta's going to keep trying as long as Vick makes money for the team. He brings so much publicity and potential to the Falcons that they will give him every possible chance to succeed at QB. That will mean switching offensive systems and coaches until someone figures out a way to maximize his QB talent.
He has a great arm, but he's on the short side so he gets his share of battered balls. And it's well documented he takes too many sacks or looks to run because he believes he can escape with this athleticism. If Vick is going to succeed as a QB, he's going to have to figure out how to move around in the pocket while keeping his eyes up the field better. Sometimes he has to throw the ball away or take a sack with minimal loss. And he might have to play slower... I heard his three and five step drops are so quick that his receivers haven't made their break in their patterns and it messes the timing in the passing game. Then Vick panicks and starts looking to run. You can't entirely blame the receivers because backup QB Matt Schaub has shown you can have big passing games with that group of receivers.
By the way, I liked Nike's "The Michael Vick Experience" commericals... Not sure if they're going to bring them back.

I watched Roddy White light it up for four years in college, then suddenly can't catch. Frankly, I think it's because he's so damned surprised whe Vick actually puts the ball anywhere near him.
Vick couldn't hit water if he fell out of a friggin' boat.

he was very good, he has a rocket of an arm, but this season i think he had enough, and his true colors showed, with the flippin people off the drugs, i think that stuff runs in the family, but he just learned to handle it better, but not good enough lol, i am tired of mike vick, between his antics hiimself and the media, it drives me crazy

I agree. He almost never passes the ball. he runs the ball 99.9% of the time. Why don't the falcons make Vick a HB?

He won't prove you wrong. The only thing he'll prove with Bobby "I'm just here for your cash" Petrino as head coach is how fast a pot smoking wanna be can break an overpaid, in over his head coach. By December of next year, you'll very much miss Mora.

He is fun to watch. He doesn't have a great arm. He's not a bad passer, he's just not real good. He's small at 6'0" 215 pounds. His lifetime completion percentage is a very average 53.8%. That ain't good.

Vick is exciting to watch. Nonetheless, you can't count on his passing like the way he runs. If you could, he would be playing next week.
GO COLTS!
