I'm really scared how they'll react...I've been trying to hide it from them for years...I think I want to do dinner theatre....oh, I'm so ashamed...

Take them to see a production of "The King & I"....they'll get the picture. Don't worry, they'll still love you & think about it, at least you will be able to put food on the table!

Don't be ashamed. That's #1. Your parents are supposed to love you unconditionally and if they want to reject you from their perfect lives then oh well. If you love yourself, then they should love you too. Parents are the people who love you even when you don't love yourself. Just come out and say it, don't beat around the bush.
