yes for god sakes yes....

for you people who say it shouldnt be, give me a GOOD reason....and a good reason is not.....

1. it is a gate way drug............horseshit
2. worse than alcohol and tobacco.......horseshit
3. then all drugs will be legalized........horseshit(we are legalizing marijuana not the whole damn black market)
4. kids will be doing it younger and more people will do it.....horseshit(if it is legalized, the government can use REAL facts about the uses and effects of marijuana, not ads that show a girl being lazy on the couch or a damn stick figure saying it cant quit because it doesnt want to).

my point, give me a case of why it shouldnt be legalized or de-criminalized

Yes it should. I have answered this a number of times and I see no reason no to have it legalized. Marijuana is a good medicine for pain and depression. If it were legalized then doctors would be allowed to prescribe for these conditions.

Yes, and several other drugs too.

Look into the plight of Steve Kubby. He was the 1996 Libertarian candidate for California governor, and he co-authored Prop 216 that California voters passed into law. And even though he abided by the California law he was still thrown into jail and taken away from his wife and kids.

This was the medical marijuana law that allowed people like Steve Kubby to treat medical problems with marijuana. In his case it was a form of cancer that had no other treatment.

I do not use it and yes I have an opinion. I think that it should be legal in the same way as alcohol is. I think if you commit a real crime you should be prosecuted. The reason this will never happen is people that traffic and sell are paying the public when they give us all their money and products and we keep it. It is job security for anyone in the penal system. The people who sell it want to be free of taxes and AFT controls and want to stay outside the law. There has to be a reason for it to stay illegal but it makes no sense to me.

I don't like to use it. It makes me very paranoid and gives me anxiety. I do drink though. Having said that, I think that drinking is much worse than marijuana. I've personally never seen anyone get violent after smoking marijuana. I have seen alcohol ruin many relationships, break up entire families and cause many accidents. I haven't really seen this with marijuana though. I don't use it so I don't really care but I do think that alcohol causes way more problems than smoking some weed.

This is America and while you should be entitled to your opinion it shouldn't affect me, the use of cannabis does not infringe upon your rights in anyway and therefore should be legal. I live in Columbia, MO and there is only a fine inside the city for possession, and society is not on the verge of collapse. I get tired of the intolerant people in America, a country supposed to be based on personal liberty.

I would say yes. I think any unprocessed plant should be legal. It's when you process something that you make it far more powerful then God ever intended it to be.

It should definatly be legal. Most marijuana crimes are victimless. It costs taxpayers money to keep marijuana criminals in jail. I believe it is your god-given right to explore altered states of conscieness.

Sure! We legalized alcohol and people are killed daily by drunk drivers. And until someone can prove that it actually harms someone, i won't change my mind. It is a God given natural sedative!!!
