Just wondering.. why are so many people using cheesey prefab avatars instead of thier real pictures on here (My Pic is 100% Mine) What ya all afraid of?? (oh thats 2 questions huh? Sue me)
Its not like anyone with a computer dosent have reasonable acess to a scanner or digital camera (if thats the clam you shouldnt have a comp.. web cams cost what $20?? sheesh)

I don't hide behind an avatar. Using your real pic is a little dangerous, I mean I've seen mine superimposed on naked chicks. It's funny on one hand, but disturbing on the other. A couple of them were so good that only my parents and my lover would know it wasn't really me.

Leaving the classism aside, I'm fairly active in the GLBT section. It's flame-city there, and I just plain don't want those people to know what I look like. I don't want them emailing me to tell me I'm going to hell. I don't want to deal with people's crap. (And I haven't yet been arsed to even make an avatar)

maybe some people are using avatars on here on answers because it gives them a certain level of anonymity, because they may be asking something which is embarrassing, or on the other hand they could be expressing who they are on the inside instead of who they are on the outside.

no longer some thing horny about fake pictures. Avatars are restricted. the authentic pictures is the authentic component must be sexiest, assuming the guy is warm of direction, like you to illustrate. I see you chop back your hair. for shame, yet nonetheless quite.

Besides the obvious stated above, they are just down right fun! And you are right anybody can put a picture up but how are we to know it is really them?
