Sundance takes place in Utah, hence the name of the film festival. Other film festivals with the location's namesake include the Cannes Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival.

As for communist nations not having film festivals, that is not true. They do hold such festivals, but they are under governmental controls usually to promote the current agenda or temporarily remove the viewers from the present reality of their everyday livelihoods.

Regarding rich Hollywood actors preferring communism, there is a vast group of actors who are extremely leftist in their views and would welcome such a cultural change. However, I guarantee that they would not be so quick to give up their money to others and live in an equal setting (that is why they are called LIMOUSINE LIBERALS).

Sundance is not just a film festival, it is a place in Utah. I suppose it is akin to moving the Oscars to a communist country.
