I am a born and raised Manhattanite.I think they have turned Manhattan into a pseudo mall.Clean,without artistic license,full of the same type of stores and restaurants you'd find anywhere.Also,what's wrong with having smoking in the bars that choose to be smoking?Manhattan has no flavor artistically.We have all been chased out by soaring rents and complaints.What is going on? I miss Manhattan the way she used to be.

I agree in some aspects, I grew up in Jersey and spent a lot of time there.Unfortunately it's a different world now.I have so many good memories from concerts to just hanging out, but it will never be the same again.

don't say that, I'm planning on going there with my sisters, my sister lives in Brooklyn. I loved Manhattan the last time I was there.
