My sister was like you when she was 15. I tried to warn her about why it was just SO wrong.
She is turning 18 very soon and told me she should have listened because there isn't anything too much more pedophilish than someone 18 and older going out with someone 15 and younger.
You grow up and mature a lot between the ages of 14 and 19. At that time, for most people, it is important to date someone who is either a year older or a year younger. Any more than that and the maturity and common sense difference is much larger and rather off.

well, i just recently went out with a 19 year old, and im 16.... he had just turned 19 though.... but anyway, he was a really nice guy. i dont regret going out with him at all. the only reason why we broke up is because we were better as friends, so we decided to stay that way.
i dont think there is anything wrong with it, as long as the girl is very aware of all the things that an older guy like that is capable of. and if she is mature, as well as the guy... i think its fine. you always see older couples like 50, and 55 dating.... they have a big difference... only a 4 year difference in this situation

I see no problem with it. I read somewhere that the average groom is 5.3 years older than the average bride.
I think that in this case, age is irrelevant. If they've been friends for that long, the girl should know enough about the guy to know whether or not he's safe to date.

If the girl's parents are ok with it, it should be ok. Statutory rape (adult having sex with a minor) laws in MOST (I don't know ALL state laws) states are someone over 21 with someone under 17. Just remember that because he's older, he's going to be ready for some experiences that she may not be ready for. He should respect that, and she should be comfortable discussing it with him. Be prepared for some insensitive comments from adults, though, like he's only after one thing...

I think it's just fine for you two to be going out. I went out with a 15 year old when I was 21. We even had sex a couple times. She and her parents were fine with it. If you care about each other then stay together and enjoy yourselves.

I think he is a little old but not over the top...he may be a little more mature then her but other than that, I see no problem with that. My son's father is 5 years older than me!

well it is illegal, but i have a couple friends in similar situations, and i think that as long as the guy is treating her well and is not using her i don't think it's too bad.
