everybody has been to scared to say anything for more than 10 years and now it is affecting my children and our relationship. i dont want to lose my mum and best friend. she says it is noone elses business but hers.

In away it is her business. The family could all get together & talk 2 her. Just have an open honest conversation. Sometimes when U air things out help & maybe she will see how it is effecting all of U that love her. It took that 4 me a couple of years again. I've not drank since then. Hope this helps or gives U something 2 think about. My heart goes out 2 U. Wishing U the best.

Some time it hard to get a alchhlic that in denial the help they need. they have to want it. and i see that you have tred to talk to her. this is going to be hard but some times you have to let them hit rock bottom. till her you can not go on like this with your children and if she loved them she would want to do some thing to make thing better for them. if she don't want to do that you may have to stay out of her live till she dose. because it hurting you to much to see her do this to her self. and belive me she going to till that fine with her. i hope she don't but you need to be ready for any thing no matter what you do.some one going to get hurt .btu if you really want this to stop you have to go all the way with it. i dont know where you live but there rehabs for alcoholic that can help but she got to want to go. lot of luck and i be praying for you and your mom.
