Cervicitis is an inflammation and irritation of the cervix. Symptoms of cervicitis can be similar to vaginitis, with vaginal discharge, itching or pain with intercourse.

Cervicitis can be caused by a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Most common are chlamydia, which causes about 4 million cases per year in the United States, and gonorrhea, which causes about 600,000 cases. Trichomoniasis and genital herpes can also cause cervicitis. In some cases, cervicitis is not caused by infection. It may be due to trauma, frequent douching or exposure to chemical irritants.

Cervicitis often causes no symptoms at all, but some women will experience pain during intercourse, vaginal itching, a bloody vaginal discharge, or vaginal spotting or bleeding between periods (usually after vaginal intercourse). If the urethra (urine tube) also becomes infected, you may feel burning when you urinate or you may urinate more often. Cervicitis can spread to your uterus, fallopian tubes or ovaries, which is a condition called pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). If you have PID, you may have abdominal pain or fever.

You can get an infected cervix without having ever have had sex before. Your cervix is used during a menstrual cycle and has other uses besides just having sex.
It is possible that your ovarian cysts have contributed to your infected cervix but it is also possible that you have just obtained a yeast infection (similar to thrush). Both are easily treatable either with cream inserted to the vagina and purchased at the pharmacy or with antibiotics prescribed by a doctor. Go and talk to someone (other than me) and put yourself at ease.
:) best of luck.

I got diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about seven years back, while I was still attending college and had a foolish one-night stand. I realize lots of young ladies will say this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for my entire life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date guys again. After all, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/C1shp everything improved.

Not only was I able to eradicate all traces of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the guy of my dreams and I'm so fortunate to write that just a week ago, in front of everyone in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This program gave me back the chance to be happy and experience true love. Now I want to help you too by sharing this with the World.
