As for the cutting...seek counseling. Some scars fade but it depends on how deep they go. Also, genetics and health have a lot to do with how your skin heals. Some ethnicities actually develop these really huge thick things called keiloids...I have em. They are scars that look like huge thick nasty things.

Try rubbing cocoa butter into the scars. They may never fully fade, but they will lessen. Also be careful in the sun -- scar tissue does not tan and sunburn on a scar can be very painful.

Try Mederma it's a scar fade cream. I believe you need a Rx for it though.
Also you should seek medical help for the cutting. There are people out there that can help you with the pain.

The deep scars may never fade and look like a hollow pot, kinda shallow though.
If your skin doesn't form tough scar tissue, the shallow scars will fade but not completely like you never had a scar.
I hit my chin on a rock while playing out, after 12yrs now i still have a slight visible scar on my chin where i hurt.

Try cocoa butter or Neosporin. Maybe even some stretch mark formulas will help, but they won't completely go away. You can make them fade a lot though with some products today.

At some time in your life, you have been abused.
You need to seek professional help.
You also need to know that it was not your fault.
many people are preyed on by rat-bags, who have no morals.
They dont care about the pschological damge they do to young minds.
And whats worse they leave people who have been abused feeling like it was their fault and that they are dirty.
You have to be assured, that whatever happened to you, was not your fault, and you did nothing to provoke this abuse.
Get some help, and the mental scars will gradually heal.

Normally they don't.
Anyway, allow me to suggest that you should try stop this practice definitely. I know that a habit isn't easy to get rid of - a habit has kind of a life of its own and it may even decide to make use of the whole life of yours until consuming you to your death.
But you might try to find an alternative to this mania of yours - for instance you might try to artistically do paper-cutouts, or creatively engage in something else very beautiful where cutting is not involved at all.

It will take a few years for them to fade. If you use Neosporin (right after skin is broken) or Vitamin E oil ( after wound closes) they will fade quicker.
