Go to Control Panel >>> System >>>Hardware tab, click on Device Manager, and you find information about your hardware.
Use also Aida32 diagnostic tool. It's free and very powerful. Just download it at http://www.download.com/AIDA32/3000-2094_4-10516199.html?tag=lst-0-1, running the Aida32.exe file.

Hard Disk Size can be found in "My Computer", Ethernet adapter would be in the Network Connections applet of the Control Panel or Device Manager.
For external volumes you can look under Computer Management. Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage.
Other places would be the Computer's BIOS or DXDIAG.exe under the More Info tab.
