Why don't you just take that part of the computer with you. It isn't particularly big and you are entitled to half of everything. You need to get some legal help to and perhaps inform the police that you are concerned with regards to your safety. I hazard to guess that you are aware of the number of women who die from femicide every year and this is usually at the hand of the significant other. Good luck to you sister I have been in your shoes and my prayers are with you.

If you want to remove stuff from your hard drive, the easiest way is to format it. If you have Windows, just do a new installation, and it will request whether you wish to format the drive.
It is still possible to recover data from a formatted drive, but you have to go to a professional company, and it is a very expensive operation.

Yes there is - you can wipe your hard-drive or you can replace it by getting a new one from a computer company and putting it where the old one was - but there is always help when you need it

Take it with you. No matter how many times you "erase" a hard drive, bit sof the informtaion ALWAYS remain. Just yank it out of the comp, it only takes a minute to open it an pull out.

Yes. Look up your computer repair shops in the yellow pages. I had mine replaced with a new one for 190 dollars.

Take it with you...Or right before you leave destroy it. I looked at your past messages and if you plan on changing your name then they shouldn't be able to find you. But to be on the safe side I would destroy it. Your in my prayers.

Pour water in the holes on the side of your computer. That should do it.
Make sure it's unplugged first.
