I've seen the original sims for PC for $9.95

It doesn't get much cheaper than that.

I have seen 'Sims Deluxe Edition' on shelves still in Best Buys, GameStops, and EBGames. You won't be able to find the original release anymore; but to my knowedge, Deluxe comes with most of the expansions.

You can probably get the game at a local GameStop.
