If a beating is forceful, there can be bleeding deep into the muscles of the buttocks. This is called a hematoma.

Medical reports document well the injuries that occur to the lower spine of adults and children from forces applied there by direct blows, falls and blows sustained in car accidents. Bruising of the tailbone the coccyx, causes coccydynia, a persistent pain in the tailbone. Direct blows to the buttocks can fracture the sacrum, the large bone at the lowermost part of the spine. Many nerves pass through the sacrum to innervate the pelvic area. So profuse are the nerves at the end of the spinal cord that they are called the cauda equina, or the horse's tail. These nerves supply motor function and sensation to the bladder, the rectum, the genitals and the legs. Tearing of these nerves by a fracture of the sacrum causes problems with bladder and bowel function, such as an inability to empty the bladder and lax rectal tone, which causes soiling. Such fractures of the sacrum are often not suspected because proper x-rays are not taken. "Dis-lodgement* of the testicles from a beating on the buttocks isn't unheard of either.

If you have ANY problems with urinating, your bottom *leaking*, testicular pain, trouble sitting or any stiffness in the back or legs, see a doctor immediately.

Ice and lay on the stomach to ease the discomfort, I really do advice a medical check up as from the sound of the beating may have been hard enough to have possibly caused damage to the tail bone and if this is a child it should also be reported to the child protection authority, if an adult it should still be reported as assault.

1 that's considered abuse, wonder y were not looking for hospitals. but try to get some icyhot or bengay. those athletic creams r got for soothing muscular pain, the bruising is cause the blood vessels just below the skin were broken during the attack of ur child. stop beating ur child and come up with some other form of correction. it really doesn't teach the kid anything but being violent is ok.

first it sounds like you need to report someone and or yourself.. because no one should be beat that hard.. you can use an ice pack then a hot bath just off and on like you would do for a foot or ankle but I hope you are not beating this person.. that's just wrong...you should also know the statistics of abuse.. most of the time someone finds out.. seek help
