....and I'm planning on having a birthday party. I have 4 best friends. 1 of them hates one of my other best friend but is also best friends with another one of my best friends.
What should I do?

It's not your problem that they have no sense. Just don't invite either of them to your party and tell them that's the reason why. If they're smart and really want to come to your party, maybe they'll re-think their problems with each other and work them out.

I agree with everyone who has posted so far that says that you should invite them all....the only thing that I want to add to that is that you should also TELL them all that they are all invited.
It is not fair for you to blindside them (the one who has someone else on her side might think that you automatically wont invite the other girl (majority rules thinking).
Make it clear that you like them all and dont want to discuss the matter about the others with any one of them.
(have you thought of peer mediation)? maybe a school counselor could intervene on behalf of the two warring friends if they used to be close.

Tuff stuff this kind of thing, but you should NOT have to be put into the middle of such childish behavior and YOU need to tell ALL these *friends* that..... make it clear that you know ppl can and do rub others the wrong way, but that is NOT your problem, so they all need to either decide to *get along* while your around or you all need to just part company and that YOU will just start over with the friend thing and find some one who is mature enough to know what friendship is........ wow what a crisis! but if they were true friends, they wont fight each other at your party just because they have beef with one another. true friends put there feeling aside for the people they love.

Invite them all, this day is about YOU not THEM and if they are really your friends, they will put differences aside to make YOUR day special.. If they cannot do that for you You should re evealuate your friendships
